Machine Description
The KNG800 is a powerful track-dressing machine specifically designed for narrow gauge applications. Its short wheelbase and narrow track allows this machine to navigate tight curves, while the widened frame provides a stable working platform. The ballast equipment is compactly designed to fit within a narrow travel envelope, enabling the machine to access hard-to-reach areas. Low-ratio axles deliver increased tractive effort, making it ideal for working on steep grades. The KNG800 is available in gauges ranging from 914 mm (36″) to 1067 mm (66″).
A 260 hp Cummins tier 4 Final engine, Danfoss hydraulic valves, hydrostatic pump for propel and vane pumps for broom and control functions, 6 speed powershift transmission, 24” wheels with four-wheel drive. Clasp type air applied brakes on all four wheels with composition shoes. Service brakes are air applied, spring released. Parking brakes are spring applied, air released. Air dryer is standard equipment.
