KPB 200 PLATE BROOM  

The Knox Kershaw Plate Broom, Model KPB 200 is used as one of the machines in a tie replacing consist to remove all of the material away from the fastening area.

Features

Ground Controls:

The The ground controls are on the right of the machine.  Once all functions are set, the KPB 200 can work on its own.  The safety "bump" bar cuts the machine's propel iin case of collision.  When the engine is off, the KPB 200 can be towed without disconnecting the propel chain.  Placed at the rear, the remote control interface has plenty of cord and could be placed on the cart that is pulled by the machine.

Broom:

Hydraulically driven through a Poly Chain GT belt, the KBR-900 style ballast regulator broom assembly is raised and lowered by a 4-link pantograph.  The broom reel sweeps the entire tie length.  The stone deflector is raised and lowered hydraulically for easy element replacement.

HYDRAULIC OIL COOLER:  Mounted in front of engine radiator.

 

TRANSMISSION:  Hydrostatic - providing infinite speed control in forward and reverse.

BRAKES:  Air applied, spring released with parking brake on all four wheels.
